Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Result Oriented and Dynamic Accounting Professional who shall ensure financial integrity and efficiency for organizations and individuals by handling tasks like auditing, financial reporting, tax planning, and strategic financial advice with equal hands on experience as a compliance officer, corporate advisor, and governance professional. Should be able to assist the board of directors with efficient governance practices, ensure timely regulatory filings, maintain statutory registers, and coordinate various legal and financial tasks.

Responsibilities
- Develop accurate, timely, and meaningful financial statements and reports
- Use accounting information systems to produce reports and analyze accounting data
- Perform financial forecasting and budgeting, Develop and maintain internal controls
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain the accounting records
- Auditing the financial statements of companies, Monitor the production of financial statements and review them on a regular basis
- Make recommendations to improve financial operations and achieve corporate goals
- Work closely with corporate and divisional management to minimize risk, control costs, and meet financial goals
- Identify, research, and recommend potential business opportunities
- Perform tax-related duties & internal audits
- Filing income tax returns on behalf of individuals and businesses
- Preparing balance sheets and profit/loss accounts, ensuring financial compliance with laws and regulatory standards
- Providing financial advisory services to clients, evaluating accounting systems and suggesting improvements
- Conducting forensic accounting investigations
- Analyzing financial reports to recommend strategies to enhance profitability and growth
- Preparing business performance reports for management
- Reviewing budgets, payroll, investments and other finances
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA guidelines, and other corporate laws
- Board and Committee Meetings: Prepares the agenda, circulates board papers, records minutes, and follows up on actionable decisions
- Filing and Documentation: Handles regular filing with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), maintenance of statutory registers, and proper documentation of financial records
- Corporate Governance: Implements best practices in transparency and accountability to enhance the company's public image and operational ethics
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitates smooth communication between the board and stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring information flow
- Secretarial Audits: Conducts audits and ensures compliance with secretarial standards and internal corporate procedures
Qualifications & Attributes
- Experience with profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ability to analyze financial statements and develop budget forecasts
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Understanding of tax laws and ability to analyze financial records
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Tally
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to identify issues and solutions in financial data
- Strong ethics to handle sensitive financial information honestly
- Communication and presentation abilities

Working Hours
Flexible, with at least 4 hours overlap between 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM EST (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST). We encourage asynchronous productivity with regular syncs.
Compensation
Equity-based or commission-based (until profitability); transitioning to a competitive salary based on industry standard.
